A Dunedin outdoor and adventure retailer is hiring a Store Manager to run the shop floor day to day. You will own the store's results, coach a small team and keep customer advice knowledgeable and professional, with an experienced Assistant Manager and regional leadership beside you.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the store's daily operations and sales results
- Lead from the sales floor and set the example for the team
- Coach team members with regular feedback and product education
- Build a workplace culture based on accountability, teamwork and service
- Work towards agreed store KPIs and act on sales opportunities as customer needs change
- Run stock control, store administration and merchandising
- Spot ways to make the store more efficient and customers happier
- Support training programs that develop employees
- Hold standards for service, presentation and compliance
- Work closely with the Assistant Manager and regional leadership
Requirements & Eligibility
- Retail leadership experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or comparable senior position
- A record of managing, coaching, and developing retail employees
- Solid grasp of sales targets, KPIs, and commercial retail performance
- Confident, hands-on leadership style
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Sound administration, organisation, and operational management
- Able to motivate a small team and keep performance standards clear
- Strong communication and decision-making
- Real enthusiasm for outdoor recreation, adventure, technical clothing, or specialist outdoor equipment; comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail setting
