A busy country hotel pub in New South Wales has a full-time opening for a Senior Cook / Chef. The kitchen wants someone confident on pan, grill and cold larder who can support the Head Chef and give the junior team clear direction on shift.
Your roster will mix days, nights and weekends. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Do note that you must be already living in Australia and available to come in for a trial.

Key Responsibilities
- Prep, cook and plate food the way the menu, the recipes and the Head Chef call for
- Keep stock counts in view and stop food going to waste
- Coach newer cooks by showing them techniques and the proper way to cook each item
- Assign tasks to apprentices and kitchen hands during your shift
- Keep cooking and storage spaces clean and hygienic under food safety rules
- Lend support when supplies arrive, checking condition and putting them in the right place
- Cook for guests who need special diets and offer input when menus are put together
- Follow every food handling and safety step and let the Head Chef know about any incident
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 5 years of pan and grill section work, hands-on
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery
- A skills assessment covering cook or chef
- Now living in Australia
- Able to come in for a trial
- Flexible for day, night and weekend shifts
- Strong at working in a team and communicating
