Key Responsibilities
- Own the Australian marketing strategy from planning to delivery, with yearly plans centred on customer acquisition, brand growth and commercial results
- Plan launch campaigns for the brand, each vehicle and model variant, and any new offering
- Run joined-up campaigns over retail, experiential, content, CRM, media, social and digital channels
- Take the global brand direction and make it work for Australian audiences
- Build awareness, consideration and demand among customers
- Design customer programs that follow people from first contact through to retention
- Let research, competitor intelligence and customer insight steer your decisions
- Direct media strategy and channel planning, track how campaigns perform and report to senior leadership
- Team up with PR and communications on launches and reputation
- Develop premium events, partnerships and customer activations
- Put together dealer and retail marketing that lifts sales while keeping the brand consistent
- Work with sales, product, aftersales, customer experience and network colleagues on initiatives for the market
- Brief and manage creative, media, digital and specialist agencies, agreeing timelines, deliverables and what is expected of each partner
- Hold the marketing budget and decide where resources go
- Find ways to make engagement, campaign effectiveness and return on investment better, and set up practical processes, frameworks and reporting as the team expands
Requirements & Eligibility
- A senior career spanning strategic, integrated, product or brand marketing
- Delivered successful campaigns that span several channels
- Worked in automotive or another premium, luxury or high-consideration consumer category; technology, travel, financial services, premium consumer goods or related backgrounds will also be considered
- Good feel for the Australian consumer and competitive marketplace
- Helping launch a new brand, product or market entry, or a major commercial launch, is advantageous
- Sound knowledge of experiential marketing, content, media, CRM, digital marketing and brand development
- Able to tie long-term brand strategy to short-term commercial objectives, and to adapt global or regional marketing strategies for local markets
- Financial and commercial sense, including managing marketing budgets
- A demonstrated ability to handle agencies, suppliers and outside partners
- Excellent at communicating, presenting and managing stakeholders
- Influences senior stakeholders and cooperates across functions
- Well organised, with solid project management
- At ease when processes and priorities keep changing in a fast-moving workplace
- Proactive, commercially minded and highly accountable
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
- Australian work rights or eligibility for employer-sponsored employment, plus ability and willingness to work within the nominated Australian state
