Planning kerja luar negara in a hotel kitchen? An award-winning country hotel in the Southern Alps, near Queenstown in New Zealand, wants a Chef de Partie. With lots of weddings and functions, service here is never the same two days running.
Your next step is to check the fit. The hotel asks for a minimum of 2 years in a similarly fast-paced kitchen and experience cooking Kiwi / western cuisine. The role is full-time and permanent, starts immediately and offers a minimum of 30 hours each week on a 4-day roster with weekends and nights. You need to commit until mid-April 2027, when the summer season ends.
Preference goes to citizens and permanent residents, or to anyone with at least 6 months on their work visa. Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Know each day's menus, the ongoing menus, upcoming functions and specials
- Take responsibility for the kitchen and service when the senior chef is away
- Use grills, microwaves and deep-fat fryers safely, adjusting temperatures as needed
- Clean the preparation and service areas daily and keep stock at the right quality and quantity
- Make each dish component meet the standard, cook it properly and deliver it on time by following recipes and instructions
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in Kiwi / western cooking
- Preferably a hospitality, cookery or culinary qualification
- Fast working pace
- Safe working practices
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Available for weekends, nights and other rostered hours, with a commitment until mid-April 2027
