A well-known bakery in Western Australia's South West is hiring a Baker for its bread production, with Bunbury as the nearest main city. A good first step is to compare your own baking skills with the duties and requirements listed for this job.
You would work closely with the Bread Team Leader and the Production Manager, which is a practical way to add to your knowledge and move your baking career forward.
Shifts begin at 2am and end at 12pm, Monday to Thursday, giving 4 working days and 38 hours a week. Overtime is added when necessary, and weekends are free. Sponsorship is available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
- Mixing white doughs
- Shaping sourdough, then baking it in a three level bread oven
- Rolling puff pastry
- Taking care of stock control
- Working with your understanding of sourdough and croissant dough fermentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- A passion for quality cabinet products that you can demonstrate
- Experience in a team setting
- Experience in preparation, service and kitchen management
- Experience in volume bakery environments
- Formal commercial cooking trade qualifications, or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills plus a positive, energetic and adaptable attitude
- HACCP experience is desirable; food hygiene is highly emphasised
- Experience using a commercial bread oven
- Ability to work very early
