An Auckland employer is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor with a real track record across logistics, stock and inventory control, leading a team, serving customers and running a warehouse day to day. You would keep stock moving, orders accurate and the floor safe while backing your people. Key Responsibilities
- Run and coordinate the warehouse day to day, leading, motivating and supporting the team
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, deliveries and customer collections, including inbound shipments, internal stock transfers and container processing
- Process customer orders accurately and on time, and plan delivery and collection schedules
- Track stock levels and keep inventory records accurate, running cycle counts and investigating discrepancies
- Rotate stock properly and store products safely
- Keep the warehouse tidy, efficient and well organised, with warehouse procedures and standard operating processes followed
- Promote and monitor workplace health and safety, and support compliance requirements and operational certifications
- Plan staffing, including temporary labour arrangements when needed
- Help with servicing and certification of vehicles, machinery and equipment, and keep equipment, vehicles and company property in safe condition
- Keep warehouse systems and stock information current
- Monitor DIFOT and overall customer order performance
- Complete operational paperwork, timesheets, reports and compliance documentation
- Spot improvements to warehouse processes and launch practical initiatives that lift efficiency and productivity
- Back the Warehouse Manager on operational planning and staffing, work with the wider operations team to improve customer experience, and encourage accountability, teamwork and a positive culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Track record in warehouse supervision, logistics, distribution or supply chain operations
- Has led or coordinated warehouse employees before
- Practical grasp of stock control and inventory management
- Experience handling customer orders, dispatch, deliveries or collections
- Understands warehouse health and safety procedures and is confident in a hands-on warehouse environment
- Well organised, with good time-management skills and clear written and verbal communication
- Customer-focused, accurate and detail-minded
- Can handle several operational priorities at once, with good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems
- Leads and motivates a team well, looks for operational improvements proactively, and stays positive and willing to learn
- Can give genuine, verifiable details of previous employment and relevant experience
