Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Thai curries and stir-fries
- Prepare and cook authentic Thai soups, salads and entrees
- Make certain that all dishes meet restaurant standards in quality, taste and presentation
- Manage the kitchen's daily operations, with food preparation, storage and hygiene compliance as part of that
- Assist with menu planning, portion control and stock management
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and train them as required
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness while following all regulations on food safety and health
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant qualification in commercial cookery, or else relevant work experience as a Thai Chef for a minimum of two (2) years
- Proven experience cooking authentic Thai cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Thai ingredients, herbs and cooking techniques, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required, and strong skills in communication and teamwork
