Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team during busy services
- Support kitchen staff when it gets busy
- Work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to run the kitchen each day
- Organise prep and sections
- Manage daily kitchen operations
- Keep quality, presentation and consistency the same on every plate
- Keep food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards in place
- Help train kitchen staff and take charge of the kitchen when needed
- Help build a positive, organised and professional kitchen culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Strong experience from a busy, high-volume café or similar kitchen
- Past experience as Sous Chef, senior chef or supervisor
- Confident leading a team and running a busy service
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Reliable and calm under pressure, willing to take ownership
- Hands-on, happy to work with the team, and a strong understanding of food quality and consistency
- Available 5 days each week, including Saturday and Sunday
