Key Responsibilities
- Lead the floor during service by managing bookings and table flow and working closely with the kitchen
- Set clear service standards and coach team members on the spot
- Recommend wines and pairings to guests with confidence
- Train the team on the wine list
- Close the restaurant, finishing the cash-up and daily checklists
- Learn rostering, training, stock and ordering as part of your path to manager
- Remember regular guests by name and give newcomers a reason to come back
Requirements & Eligibility
- Supervisory or senior floor experience at a busy, quality restaurant, ideally 2+ years
- Solid wine knowledge, comfortable talking about styles, regions and food pairings
- Eager to keep learning about wine
- A clear picture of great service and the habit of holding that standard on a big night
- A current Queensland RSA
- RMLV, or willingness to complete it on the way to management
- Availability to work a seven-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays, with full Australian working rights
