Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for providing residents' daily care
- Support your team during every shift
- Complete detailed and accurate nursing assessments
- Manage medications overall
- Practise nursing that respects residents' dignity and integrity and supports independence
- Work with doctors and allied health professionals to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Involve family members in care planning and keep them updated on treatment
- Supervise and coordinate care workers, enrolled nurses and other healthcare staff
- Take overall responsibility for residents' nursing care
- Provide interventions and treatments as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent
- Qualified Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- A minimum of 3 months' work as a Registered Nurse in Australia or a minimum of 2 years' overseas work experience
- Australian work experience is preferred
- Strong leadership skills, plus the ability to delegate and to prioritise work
- Excellent communication and strong clinical problem-solving
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in providing patient-centred clinical care
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
- Knowledge of the aged care legislative framework, safe medication administration included
