Key Responsibilities
- Help residents shower and get dressed with holistic, culturally safe care
- Support residents at mealtimes and with moving around
- Help residents communicate
- Add to care planning and carry out therapy plans for people living with dementia
- Observe and report each resident's progress, and raise any change in condition or care concern quickly
- Keep records accurate, appropriate and current, and assist registered nurses within their scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- A sincere wish to make a positive difference for elderly people
- Able to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Enjoys working in aged care
- Earlier caregiving experience is preferred
- Experience in dementia care is a strong advantage
- For visa support, either a Registered Nursing degree
- or a caregiving qualification at Level 4 or above with an International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
