Key Responsibilities
- Serve guests at their tables, taking orders and bringing out food and drinks
- Take payments accurately using the POS
- Prepare drinks at the bar, including cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options
- Clear and reset tables without delay and keep the venue clean and presentable
- Greet guests and help them feel welcome
- Pass special requests and dietary needs clearly to the kitchen and bar
- Support the kitchen and bar teams in busy periods
- Use your knowledge of the menu, specials and drinks to recommend well
- Help restock and keep work areas tidy
- Follow health, safety and food handling rules
- Stay ready to switch between floor and bar as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality workplace, with some waiting or bar service
- A real love of giving great customer service
- Strong communication skills for talking with guests and co-workers
- Physical stamina for long periods on your feet through busy shifts
- Someone reliable who turns up punctual
- A positive mindset and a flexible approach
- Works well in a team, with good teamwork skills
- Basic food safety and hygiene know-how
- Having POS experience is desirable, and training can be provided; holding barista or bartending qualifications is an advantage, though not essential
