Key Responsibilities
- Work breakfast shifts and conference catering, preparing, cooking and presenting a range of food
- Send out every plate with the right accompaniments
- Choose high-quality produce so each guest enjoys a quality product
- Prepare dishes for dairy-free, gluten-free and other dietary orders
- Keep to hygiene, health and safety and HACCP procedures while handling appliances and tools correctly
- Look after supplies and equipment and cut down on waste
- Pitch in with washing up, freezing and preserving foods, other kitchen tasks, and training and recruitment when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Time in a similar position before
- Confidence with an à la carte menu
- NZQCF Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience taking the place of the formal qualification (a mix may be suitable)
- Free on late nights, weekends and public holidays, for a permanent contract of 30 hours a week
- Someone who works as a strong team player and suits a tight-knit team
- Safe food handling certification helps as an advantage but is not required
