Chef de Partie
Visa sponsorship
Hospitality · Melbourne, VIC, Australia · Full-Time · $33 - $44/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
Here is a practical opening for chefs who enjoy owning a station. A Melbourne Italian restaurant group, established and expanding, is hiring a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie for the kitchen of its first venue, a pasta bar that has served diners for many years.
You would take the pans (pasta) or larder station and manage it without supervision, so a real understanding of Italian cooking and culture matters. The pasta is made in-house each day in a freshly built kitchen, using ingredients from artisan Italian suppliers and farms around the city.
Next, the working pattern. You begin on casual hours, as many as 40 a week on a set roster, and full-time contracts are assessed when a trial of at least four weeks wraps up. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Your rate depends on skill, palate, teamwork, experience and work ethic.
Your next useful step is an updated English CV listing your cookery qualifications, the stations you have handled on your own and your food safety training. Build a Melbourne pasta-section CV with Build AI CV and keep it ready.
