Key Responsibilities
- Assess every patient in line with accepted nursing practice and standards
- Plan nursing care, implement it and evaluate what it achieved
- Consult with other health professionals
- Coordinate patient care inside healthcare teams
- Provide care-plan treatments, medications and therapies and monitor each one
- Lead health promotion activities and take part in patient education
- Supervise Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers and coordinate what they do
- Keep accurate records and healthcare documentation
- Comply with current clinical standards for community nursing, home care, hospitals and aged care and with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report hazards and incidents promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration, which is current
- A relevant nursing qualification for a Registered Nurse
- Community nursing and home care experience
- Minimum one year's full-time relevant experience
- Three current items: National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Manual Handling Certificate
- A valid driver's licence and current COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations
- An Infection Control certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
