Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain heavy diesel trucks and semi-trailers, and repair them when needed
- Trace and repair mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults
- Carry out preventative maintenance and planned servicing
- Fix air brake systems, axles, wheel bearings, landing legs and trailer components
- Complete NHVR safety inspections
- Keep maintenance records and job reports complete
- Work efficiently with high-quality results
- Help keep the fleet running safely
Requirements & Eligibility
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent
- Experience servicing heavy vehicles and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with air brake systems and maintaining trailers
- Comfortable working independently and in a team
- HC/MC driver's licence is an advantage, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety
