The team is looking for around 2 to 3 years of Australian public practice experience. Your clients would include SMEs, companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals. An experienced Senior Accountant supports you and reviews your work, and you take on more responsibility and direct client work over time.
The role includes mentoring and support with CPA or CA development, plus a path to Senior Accountant and Client Manager. Employer sponsorship may be considered as well; it depends on your experience, whether the role suits you and whether you are eligible for a visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft financial statements for the practice's clients
- Work through income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Get BAS (Business Activity Statements) done for clients
- Look after accounting and tax matters for small and medium businesses (SMEs)
- Handle personal tax returns and give input on year-end tax planning
- Answer client questions and deal with the ATO if a file needs it
- Stay on top of your own tasks and statutory deadlines while helping the Senior Accountant with clients in Xero and other cloud software
Requirements & Eligibility
- An Australian public practice background of around 2 to 3 years
- Hands-on preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Practical knowledge of how Australian tax and compliance work, including BAS
- Confident, strong user of Xero
- Good communication, both written and spoken
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to keep competing deadlines moving
- A tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or similar; CPA or CA studies, or plans to start them, highly regarded
