A major bank in Sydney is modernising its infrastructure and technology, and an IT consultancy is filling several Senior Network Engineer positions on long-term contracts to support it. The consultancy has delivered for finance, government, telecommunications and enterprise clients since 2003.
In the role you design critical networking constructs, implement them for the big migration phases and hand them over properly. Your next useful step is to gather proof of firewall rollouts and F5 work you have led.

Key Responsibilities
- Build complex network constructs across Cisco ASA and ACI from high-level design specifications
- Produce concrete firewall configurations
- Run passive and canary deployments, then validate the rule sets
- Configure F5 GTM and LTM appliances and manage traffic distribution
- Support high availability and disaster recovery compliance through F5 integration
- Prepare rigorous change control and rollback procedures and execute them, then monitor post-deployment performance and maintain handover documentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA together with Cisco ACI and APIC environments
- Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy deployment as well as troubleshooting
- Expertise in configuring F5 GTM and LTM appliances and in supporting them
- Solid understanding of performance monitoring and capacity planning for networks
- CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications highly regarded
- Sydney-based
- Valid work visa held, as the roles are strictly onsite
