Key Responsibilities
- Assist the medical practitioner during consultations and treatments
- Take care of treatment-room stock, sterilisation and equipment
- Teach patients about their health
- Apply infection control and WHS practices
- Prepare the practice for accreditation standards
- Coach and lead other staff clinically
- Triage patients
- Wound care, dressings and childhood immunisations
- Adult immunisations and travel vaccinations
- Corporate health checks, ECG, audiometry and spirometry
- Chronic disease management, age-appropriate health assessments and Indigenous health assessments
- Cold-chain management and staff education
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration and the CPD points required
- Current Basic Life Support / CPR certificate, or equivalent
- Working With Children Check
- Multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Certified Immuniser looked upon favourably
