An established early learning provider in Queensland is growing its kindergarten team in Cairns and needs 5 Early Childhood Teachers for full-time positions. The programs are approved by the government, so you will plan learning, earn the trust of children and families and swap ideas with other educators across the group. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates, and overseas-qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach kindergarten programs that suit where each child is in their development
- Set up a calm, inclusive and stimulating room where children feel secure
- Plan activities, write up what happens and review how well the learning went
- Follow each child's progress through observation notes and learning records, keeping the electronic program and portfolios current
- Get to know every child and build warm, respectful relationships
- Partner with parents and families, telling them how their child is learning and growing
- Team up with fellow educators and trade ideas with Early Childhood Teachers elsewhere in the group
- Meet the National Quality Standards and National Regulations that apply, together with daily health, safety and wellbeing routines
- Look for ways to improve the kindergarten program and join training and professional development when offered
- Help keep the workplace friendly, respectful and cooperative
Requirements & Eligibility
- An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- OR an approved Diploma-level Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, plus active study towards an ACECQA-approved ECT qualification
- OR active study towards an approved ECT qualification, with at least 50% of it done
- Academic transcripts for those applying under the 50% completed qualification pathway
- Meets the applicable ACECQA assessment requirements and the relevant English language requirements
- Meets the eligibility requirements for the applicable Australian visa pathway
- Eligible for, and able to keep, a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, or willing to gain these qualifications when required
- Clear writing and speaking
- A real love of early childhood education, shown through enthusiasm, energy and a strong professional work ethic
- Dependable and flexible, happy to pitch in with the team
- Good at forming positive bonds with children, families and colleagues, and understands how children learn and develop
- Aims for a long-term career in the early childhood sector
