Melbourne aged care providers are recruiting dependable Aged Care Workers and Personal Care Assistants for residential care homes. The work centres on helping older residents with daily tasks while protecting their dignity, independence, safety and comfort.
Offshore applicants may be considered for employer sponsorship subject to eligibility, and onshore applicants with suitable Australian work rights are also welcome. That makes it a realistic option for Malaysians with a care qualification.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide kind, person-centred care to every resident
- Support personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and good hygiene
- Help residents move safely, including transfers and mobility equipment, and support meals, fluids and feeding
- Keep residents company, give emotional support and help them take part in daily routines and activities
- Work to each resident's care plan and the home's procedures, including infection control, manual handling and safety
- Watch for and report any change in a resident's physical, emotional or behavioural wellbeing, and keep clear care notes
- Work with nurses, carers, allied health professionals and families, respecting residents' privacy, dignity, culture and preferences while encouraging independence
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualification in aged care, healthcare, nursing assistance or personal care
- Past aged care, residential care or disability support experience preferred
- Working understanding of person-centred care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and English good enough for the workplace and resident conversations
- Compassionate, dependable and professional manner
- Able to build respectful relationships with residents and care teams
- Able to follow care plans, procedures and workplace standards
- Flexible about shifts, including weekends when required
