This part-time role suits an engineering student who wants real project exposure in Sydney. A consultancy that advises builders and insurers is building up its specialty and major projects team, where the work covers insurance reports and scopes of work for property damage, plus Structural, Civil and Stormwater design for residential, commercial and industrial developments.

You would train in the Sydney office and be mentored closely by senior engineers, picking up Geotechnical and Architectural design along the way. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare causation reports on defects and damage with client satisfaction in mind, and put together scopes of work.
  • Carry out site inspections and liaise with all stake holders.
  • Design timber, steel and concrete structures and produce the related drafting.
  • Create designs in Autocad.
  • Keep billings up to date and hold a high level of attention to detail across technical building matters.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • A passion for Engineering, backed by excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Structural behaviour instinct.
  • Keen to learn, be mentored and be a part of the team.
  • A high level of English writing and structural analytical skills will be highly regarded.
  • Able to work with Autocad.
