A professional workshop in Queensland is looking for an experienced Tyre Fitter and Wheel Aligner to join its Brisbane team. The job centres on fitting tyres, checking and adjusting alignment and light-to-medium servicing, so safe, accurate work and a dependable attitude are what count.
Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates with the required experience. The job suits a tradesperson who works well alone, keeps a tidy bay and is happy to lift and handle tyres through a busy day, while still helping colleagues across the workshop.

Key Responsibilities
- Fit tyres on passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and 4WDs, whether the wheels are standard or aftermarket
- Check and adjust wheel alignment on passenger vehicles and 4WDs
- Handle light and medium servicing and maintenance tasks
- Look over tyres, wheels and nearby components, then deal with any tyre or wheel problem you find
- Turn jobs around efficiently without compromising quality
- Follow safe operating procedures and the workshop's safety requirements
- Take pride in accurate, professional workmanship on whatever you are assigned
- Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean and organised
- Work on your own initiative and stand behind the jobs you finish
- Lend a hand to colleagues with general workshop activities when needed
- Keep conversations with customers and colleagues professional, and work towards workshop KPIs and agreed completion times
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Automotive, or an equivalent qualification
- Verifiable automotive industry experience, including genuine technical skills and previous workshop experience
- Hands-on tyre fitting and wheel alignment experience
- Experience with passenger, commercial and 4WD tyres, including fitting to aftermarket wheels
- Practical knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
- The physical capability to handle and lift tyres
- A strong focus on safety, accuracy and quality workmanship
- Works independently and manages assigned tasks
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy workshop environment
- Current manual driver's licence
