Key Responsibilities
- RF and transmission integration, testing, commissioning and handover to the carrier on infrastructure projects.
- Fit out and bring online antennas, radios, microwave links, feeders, outdoor cabinets and other network equipment.
- Help upgrade towers and carry out equipment installs, structural changes and site expansions.
- Write up commissioning reports, test records and carrier sign-off paperwork to industry standard.
- Track down and fix technical faults found while installing, commissioning or integrating.
- Work to safety procedures, permits, risk controls and quality assurance rules.
- Travel as projects require, from city sites to remote Australia, and work alongside engineering, project and field colleagues to get each job delivered.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on career as a Telecommunications Field Engineer, strong in RF and transmission integration.
- Commissioning of telecommunications equipment and carrier acceptance documentation in your past roles.
- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification, with Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid certifications also current.
- Time spent on telecommunications towers, structural steel installations or infrastructure upgrades.
- Willing to travel widely across Australia, regional and remote sites included.
- Driver's licence held currently; extra heavy vehicle licences or relevant industry tickets are advantageous.
- Solid understanding of safety, quality and Australian telecommunications industry standards, plus excellent troubleshooting, communication and teamwork.
