A hands-on Boilermaker is wanted for structural steel projects in New South Wales. The job is about practical trade capability, reliable workmanship and accurate fabrication. Working from drawings and set specifications, you will produce quality welded and fabricated steelwork safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel on the project
- MIG weld to the project's quality specifications
- Turn engineering drawings and fabrication plans into finished steelwork
- Mark, measure and cut steel components and prepare them for fit-up, then assemble the fabricated sections with accuracy
- Inspect your welds and the finished pieces for quality
- Handle workshop and fabrication tools correctly and safely
- Stick to project specifications, workplace procedures and safety requirements, with appropriate PPE every time
- Cooperate with other trades and the project crew
- Leave your work area tidy, organised and hazard-free
- Hit production schedules and project deadlines
- Speak up quickly about safety concerns, defects or material problems, and help structural steel projects reach completion
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification recognised as a Boilermaker, Fitter, Cert III Engineering & Fabrication or related discipline
- Experience in structural steel fabrication that you can demonstrate
- Strong MIG welding skills
- Skilled at reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Current White Card, plus your own tools and appropriate PPE
- Care for workmanship, accuracy and safety
- Works independently and contributes well to a team
- Turns up reliably with a professional work ethic
- EWP ticket advantageous
- Working at Heights certification advantageous
- Forklift licence advantageous
- Available to commence work immediately and for Monday-to-Friday shifts
