A Gold Coast stone business wants an experienced Stonemason for a full-time position covering fabrication and installation. Accuracy and a clean finish count: you would turn measurements and technical plans into benchtops, splashbacks and custom features across residential and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Go through technical drawings and specifications before the first cut
- Measure accurately and work out how much material is needed
- Cut, shape, polish and finish stone to what each project asks for, then prepare the pieces for installation
- Fit stone benchtops, splashbacks and other architectural features
- Install stone for fireplaces, barbecues and custom applications
- Inspect finished pieces for alignment, dimensions, finish and overall quality
- Coordinate with other trades and installers on project needs
- Operate and keep in shape the specialist stoneworking machinery and hand tools
- Troubleshoot measurement, fabrication or installation issues as they come up
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures through every stage of the job
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised stonemasonry qualification or formal trade training, plus a stonemasonry trade certificate
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Practical, hands-on background in stone fabrication and installation
- Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications with confidence
- Skilled with professional stone cutting, shaping and finishing equipment
- Precise with measurements and finishing
- Good at practical problem-solving in fabrication and installation work
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to handle and install stone, and committed to safe work practices and professional workmanship
- Can supply supporting evidence of qualifications and relevant employment experience
