An expanding Auckland workshop is looking for skilled Panel Beaters and Spray Painters who bring real workshop experience and a strong record of quality workmanship. You will work on all sorts of vehicles and own repair jobs from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out panel beating and body repairs, including rust repair and restoration
  • Do spray painting and refinishing on vehicles
  • Work on different makes and models
  • Prepare damaged areas and surfaces ahead of repair and paint
  • Take allocated repair jobs from start to finish, assessing what each one needs and using suitable techniques
  • Hold a high standard of finish and workmanship
  • Follow workshop procedures and safety requirements
  • Manage your tasks well and hit agreed deadlines
  • Work confidently without constant supervision, communicate with the workshop team and keep your work area professional and organised
  • Help prepare race cars for events and track days when required, and support the team during busy periods

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Spray Painter, including a variety of vehicle makes and models
  • Practical rust repair experience for Panel Beater applicants
  • Able to complete repairs independently from start to finish
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Genuine, verifiable work history you can demonstrate
  • Reliable and self-motivated, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Works well within a multicultural team
  • Good spoken English is essential
  • NZ residency or an existing NZ work visa is advantageous
