A busy Melbourne salon wants a senior stylist who is as good with clients as with the scissors. The work is full-time and covers cutting, colouring and styling, built on proper consultations and a polished result every time. You would be working beside experienced professionals in an established, growing salon, and hair extension experience is a welcome extra, though strong senior-level hairdressing stays the priority.

Key Responsibilities
- Give clients cuts, colours, styling and other salon services to a consistently professional standard
- Hold detailed consultations to understand each client's hair, then recommend suitable care, styling and maintenance products
- Build lasting client relationships and keep clients coming back through friendly, quality service
- Offer hair extension services where you are qualified or experienced
- Keep your workstation clean, organised and hygienic, and follow salon procedures and health and safety rules
- Present yourself professionally and welcome each client warmly
- Work well with other stylists and salon staff and help keep the salon atmosphere positive
- Keep up with trends and techniques and take part in training and skills development
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Proven experience as a Senior Hair Stylist or experienced professional hairdresser, with a demonstrable salon history
- Able to verify your professional identity, qualifications and relevant employment experience, and willing to take part in the required verification process
- Strong technical knowledge of modern hairdressing techniques
- Confident consultation and interpersonal skills
- Close attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
- Passion for hairdressing and ongoing skills development
- Professional, reliable and motivated approach
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Understanding of salon hygiene, safety and professional standards
- Hair extension experience is highly regarded
