A growing Auckland salon is adding Senior Hairdressers who combine strong technical skill with easy confidence around clients. The day covers cutting, colouring and styling within a supportive, professional team, so variety comes with the job.
For an experienced stylist, it is a chance to build a base in New Zealand and add to your own skills. Sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut ladies’ and children’s hair to a high standard and finish with blow waves and styling
- Do global colour and regrowth work, plus foils, highlights and balayage
- Handle toning and colour correction, and hair treatments and smoothing
- Talk with clients about what their hair needs and suggest suitable haircare products and treatments
- Keep technical and service standards high at every appointment, building good professional relationships
- Handle services confidently with little supervision
- Help develop and mentor junior team members
- Take part in demonstrations, workshops and practical training when asked
- Keep the workspace clean, organised and professional
- Follow salon procedures, hygiene requirements and workplace standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised hairdressing qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
- Minimum 2 years of professional industry experience
- Strong hands-on ability in cutting, colouring, foiling and styling, including balayage, highlights, toning and colour correction
- Confident working on your own in a professional salon
- Skilled at client consultation and communication, with excellent customer service
- A reliable, professional and committed approach
- Weekend availability when needed
- Beauty therapy skills or past beauty industry experience is advantageous
- Experience mentoring junior stylists or delivering practical training is advantageous
- Can clearly outline the services you perform confidently
- Can disclose services where more training or development may be required
- Willing to meet New Zealand employment and visa requirements
