Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the front-of-house team and oversee daily restaurant service
  • Run the whole floor so dining is efficient and welcoming, and keep customer service consistently high
  • Coordinate restaurant activity with the chef and senior management
  • Assign staff responsibilities and keep service flowing, supervising the team and dealing with problems as they arise
  • Train and develop team members to meet service expectations, and check that staff follow workplace policies and procedures
  • Keep hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards high

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in restaurant or floor management
  • Strong understanding of Italian food, cuisine and products
  • Proven record of leading and supervising hospitality staff, with strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to train, motivate and coordinate employees effectively
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, and able to stay professional and organised in a busy restaurant
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • An Italian background or strong knowledge of Italian dining culture is highly regarded
  • Committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Able to commence on a part-time basis with potential progression to full-time
