Formwork and concrete know-how counts for a lot on high-rise sites, and this full-time Project Engineer role in Sydney is built around major structural projects. You would help coordinate engineering and construction on site, keep subcontractors on programme and handle technical questions between consultants and engineers as they arise. Overseas construction experience is welcome here, so Malaysian engineers with the right background are encouraged to look.

Key Responsibilities
- Run day-to-day engineering and construction coordination on large building projects, and keep communication flowing between site and stakeholders
- Plan and track formwork and concrete structure works
- Work with subcontractors, suppliers and construction teams to keep activity moving
- Go through drawings, specifications and engineering documents, and settle technical points among consultants, engineers and subcontractors
- Help build the programme, sequence work and plan construction, checking progress against schedules and milestones
- Back up contract administration and project reporting
- Flag construction problems early, help develop practical technical fixes and check quality against project requirements
- Keep project records and progress reports, assist senior project staff and contribute to safe, efficient and timely completion of construction works
Requirements & Eligibility
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management
- 2–5+ years of relevant post-graduate construction experience
- Proven formwork and concrete structures experience
- Time spent on high-rise, commercial or large-scale building projects
- A history of working for a construction subcontractor
- Working knowledge of construction programming and work sequencing
- Experience with contract administration, plus strong capability coordinating and managing subcontractors
- Sound technical ability alongside good communication and organisation
- Qualifications and professional experience that you can demonstrate and verify
- Overseas construction experience that is relevant is welcomed
- Able to meet Australian employment and sponsorship requirements
