Western Australia has big civil, marine and recreational builds underway, and a Perth-based team is looking for a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to help deliver them. You would take ownership of assigned construction activities, coordinate contractors, manage interfaces and solve site problems before they hold up delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own assigned construction activities and project outcomes, running daily site work and tracking construction progress
  • Manage the interfaces between civil, marine, structural and public realm works while directing subcontractors, suppliers and specialist trades
  • Supervise piling, fender systems and revetments, as well as drainage, landscaping and other civil construction
  • Contribute to programming, scheduling and cost control
  • Study what the build requires, find workable delivery answers and look for ways to improve constructability and efficiency
  • Maintain quality paperwork (ITPs, HIRACs and inspection records) and watch compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements
  • Keep clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders informed and report construction progress with accurate records
  • Mentor graduate and junior engineering staff

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or another recognised equivalent qualification
  • For Project Engineer level: 2–4 years of civil or marine construction experience
  • For Senior Project Engineer positions: relevant senior-level construction and project delivery experience
  • Site-based engineering experience is preferred
  • You have coordinated subcontractors and construction teams before
  • You understand project scheduling, cost management and quality assurance
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication, plus tidy organisation and documentation
  • Able to read construction requirements and resolve practical issues on site
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
  • Proactive, ready to take ownership of your responsibilities, and comfortable in multidisciplinary construction teams
  • Genuine interest in delivering major infrastructure and community-focused projects
