A piling contractor is hiring a Project Analyst, a technical site administrator, for a major solar construction project in Perth on a contract basis. It is not a standard admin job. It suits someone from Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Solar QA or a similar field who likes data, systems and operational processes.

Working with the project team, you would analyse construction data, reconcile quantities, look after project systems and sharpen reporting and productivity. Employer sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the daily and weekly reports on production, timesheets and plant.
  • Examine construction productivity and project performance figures, flagging discrepancies, trends and room to improve.
  • Tally and reconcile quantities for piling, trackers and modules.
  • Keep the registers for survey, pile testing and tolerances current.
  • Run the ITPs, ITCs, ITRs, punch lists and QA registers.
  • Look after AppSheet trackers, the project systems and reporting dashboards.
  • Support process improvement and optimisation across site systems.
  • Organise delivery registers, materials and laydown planning.
  • Keep project teams, the client and the principal contractor supplied with reports and documentation.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Desirable: a background or qualification in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations Engineering or another related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence handling large or complex data sets.
  • Excel at an advanced level: formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
  • A strong interest in process improvement, productivity and operational efficiency, with the ability to follow workflows and spot ways to improve systems and processes.
  • An excellent eye for detail and good problem solving skills.
  • Quick to learn new systems.
  • Able to work autonomously in a remote site environment.
  • Hands-on use of Google Sheets, AppSheet, Google Data Studio, Primavera P6 or Employment Hero would be advantageous.
  • Time spent in solar construction, manufacturing, logistics, operations or similar project based settings will also be highly regarded.
