An Auckland food maker is growing and needs a Production Supervisor who can run the floor and still roll up their sleeves. You would plan each day's output, check that every batch meets standard and keep a small team on track.
The work touches ingredient prep, batching, machinery, quality checks and cleaning, so you need to be comfortable moving between supervising and doing. Sponsorship is available for a suitably qualified overseas candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan the day's production and allocate work across the team
- Get manufacturing done safely, efficiently and on schedule, tracking daily targets and helping lift efficiency
- Make batches and products to approved recipes, weighing, measuring and checking ingredients beforehand
- Run mixers, fillers and other food manufacturing equipment, and keep an eye on machinery and processes
- Keep product quality steady, carry out quality checks and flag problems quickly
- Follow food safety and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, with accurate production processes and recipe controls
- Do cleaning, sanitation and daily equipment washdowns, keeping production areas clean and organised
- Train and support production team members
- Work with the Production Manager to sort out operational issues
- Make sure orders and production needs are met accurately and on time
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and report hazards
- Pitch in on different production activities when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in food manufacturing or commercial food production
- Earlier role as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Production Operator or similar
- Time spent in an approved food control plan environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and quality requirements
- Practical machine experience in food manufacturing, including mixers, fillers or similar equipment
- Able to follow recipes, measurements and procedures accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product
- Able to lead and support a small production team
- Comfortable in a hands-on production environment, meeting daily production targets efficiently
- Reliable, hardworking and physically capable of production and cleaning duties, including repetitive tasks and washdown responsibilities
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Quick to learn new machinery and production systems
- Committed to a clean and safe working environment
- Current forklift licence is advantageous
