Mining operations across Western Australia need FIFO Product Support Advisors, and this Perth-based opportunity is aimed at heavy mobile plant specialists with solid diagnostic and fault-finding experience. The goal is better equipment reliability, availability and productivity on site.
On site you will team up with maintenance crews to pinpoint problems, recommend fixes and strengthen maintenance practice, splitting your time between technical advice and practical support as operations require. Overseas applicants with suitable qualifications and experience may be considered for visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on heavy mobile equipment
- Look into performance problems and decide on corrective action
- Coach site maintenance personnel with specialist technical advice
- Inspect equipment and raise reliability concerns early
- Help plan and deliver preventative maintenance, including component replacement and planned maintenance tasks
- Assist on warranty-related technical matters
- Fault-find quickly to keep equipment downtime low
- Assess equipment condition and recommend maintenance improvements
- Contribute technical input to fleet optimisation
- Look for gains in reliability, availability and operating efficiency, and join continuous improvement projects at customer operations
- Provide hands-on technical support whenever operations require
- Keep service and technical records clear and accurate, and help with technical training and knowledge transfer
- Build good relationships with customers and site teams, and meet site safety, procedure and environmental requirements on FIFO rosters and extended shifts
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or an equivalent international qualification
- Demonstrated hands-on maintenance of heavy mobile plant
- A background in mining, field service or large-scale equipment maintenance
- Strong hands-on experience with the machinery brand in use highly regarded
- Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding ability, plus the skill to analyse equipment problems and recommend effective solutions
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance and the principles of equipment reliability
- Can mix technical advisory duties with hands-on work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to customers and stakeholders
- Self-directed, and also a good fit within a maintenance team
- Willing to work FIFO rosters and 12-hour shifts
- Committed to safety and compliance in remote mining environments
- High-risk work licences such as Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging or Working at Heights advantageous
