Key Responsibilities
- Take on plumbing installation and upkeep across homes and commercial sites
- Fit hot and cold water systems, sanitary plumbing and fixtures
- Put in and service pipework, valves, pumps and plumbing controls
- Work with hydronic heating, including underfloor heating pipework and the related components
- Fit, swap and commission hot water cylinders and heat pump water heating
- Lend a hand with HVAC-related plumbing and technical heating jobs
- Read plans, drawings and specifications so the work comes out right
- Measure up, prepare and assemble pipework with sound trade technique
- Run pressure tests, commission systems and check how they perform
- Locate faults, repair them and offer practical fixes
- Follow health and safety standards, keep job sites professional, look after company tools and equipment and cooperate with technicians, builders and other trades
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised plumbing qualification and relevant industry experience
- New Zealand plumbing registration, or eligibility to achieve registration
- Minimum three years’ experience in plumbing installation, repairs and maintenance
- Proven track record on residential and commercial plumbing projects
- Exposure to hydronic heating, underfloor heating or HVAC plumbing systems is advantageous
- Able to interpret technical drawings, plans and project requirements
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality workmanship and reliable service
- Effective communication skills and a good fit in a professional team
- Valid driver licence or willingness to obtain one
- Able to provide verified employment history, qualifications and trade experience records
