A leading healthcare provider in New South Wales is recruiting for 2026 and wants experienced mental health professionals in Sydney. The positions are full-time, with a multidisciplinary team delivering care on inpatient wards and in community settings, and they cover both Mental Health Registered Nurse and Mental Health Clinician work.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled mental health nursing and clinical care with compassion, keeping each person at the centre
- Assess patients fully for mental health and psychiatric needs
- Draw up individual care plans, put them into practice and review how they are working
- Follow each patient's progress and keep clinical records accurate
- Give medication and treatment as clinical guidelines direct
- Step in with crisis intervention and therapeutic support when patients need it
- Liaise with psychiatrists, medical officers and the wider multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Guide patients, families and carers through education and recovery planning
- Keep patients safe by meeting mental health legislation and clinical standards, and contribute to case reviews, care planning, discharge planning and quality improvement
- Hold to professional and ethical standards and patient confidentiality, and keep your skills current through ongoing education
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor of Nursing or another recognised equivalent
- Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or be eligible to obtain registration
- Minimum 2–3 years working in mental health nursing or mental health clinical practice
- Strong grasp of psychiatric assessment and the principles of mental health care
- Working knowledge of the Australian mental health legislation and clinical practice standards that apply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
- Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing will be highly regarded
