Key Responsibilities

  • Track down faults step by step, using proper diagnostic methods
  • Inspect vehicles and judge their condition before recommending repairs
  • Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs, including engines, transmissions, suspension components and other mechanical systems
  • Work accurately and safely with workshop tools and diagnostic equipment

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Recognised Motor Mechanic trade qualification or equivalent overseas qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on automotive experience preferred
  • Genuine, demonstrable experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing vehicles; prior dealership or professional workshop experience is an advantage
  • Able to provide evidence of qualifications and previous employment
  • Good diagnostic, troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • High workmanship standards and attention to detail
  • Current driver's licence, with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
  • Works independently and takes responsibility for completed work
  • Strong communication and teamwork, a professional attitude and commitment to workplace safety
