A Wellington employer is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician with proven hands-on skills for commercial HVAC projects. Problem-solving ability and a commitment to reliable service outcomes matter as much as the technical background.
Eligible candidates will be considered for sponsorship support. The job is full-time and centres on servicing, repairs, installation and commissioning of commercial and light commercial air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide HVAC servicing, repairs, preventative maintenance, installation and commissioning to a high standard
- Track down technical faults in commercial and light commercial air conditioning systems
- Draw on industry know-how to fix problems effectively and limit equipment downtime
- Check systems over and confirm HVAC equipment is running efficiently
- Write up accurate service records, reports and maintenance logs
- Give customers clear technical advice and communicate professionally
- Look after your tools, equipment and work vehicles as the company expects
- Follow workplace safety procedures and keep to industry standards
- Work with technical colleagues for quality, on-time service, taking pride in your trade, your reliability and your attention to detail
Requirements & Eligibility
- An experienced HVAC / Air Conditioning Technician with a solid service background
- A recognised HVAC, Refrigeration or Air Conditioning qualification
- Minimum 5 years of practical field experience servicing and maintaining HVAC systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Sound knowledge of refrigeration systems and technical procedures
- Relevant electrical knowledge or licensing will be highly regarded
- Commercial-scale HVAC equipment experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team
- A valid driver’s licence
- Verified trade experience and qualifications suitable for international employment
