Key Responsibilities
- Carry out field repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, attending breakdowns and fixing them promptly
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and equipment faults
- Complete preventative and scheduled maintenance, and support shutdowns and equipment moves
- Work confidently on major OEM heavy equipment to a high standard of workmanship
- Plan your day to meet deadlines, and write accurate service reports and maintenance records
- Keep clear contact with clients, site representatives and teammates
- Follow workplace and site safety procedures and add to a professional, safety-focused team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification
- Relevant experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic, including repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with major OEM equipment is highly regarded
- A valid driver's licence that meets the role requirements
- A High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is advantageous
- Able to work effectively in a field service environment
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Able to complete required pre-employment assessments
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Qualifications, work history and professional identity must be verifiable
