An established Melbourne salon wants a Senior Hairdresser with proven hands-on experience in cutting, colouring and styling. The environment is supportive, the expectation is consistent, high-quality work, and there is room to grow your own client base over time.

Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their hair needs and recommend care routines and professional products
- Cut with scissors, thinning scissors and clippers, including men's haircutting and styling
- Do colouring and highlighting, chemical straightening and other applicable treatments
- Provide shampooing, conditioning and scalp preparation
- Style hair for formal occasions, events and professional sessions, including braiding and work with hair pieces when needed
- Tailor styling to each client's preferences
- Keep technical workmanship, presentation and your workstation hygienic and organised
- Build positive, professional client relationships that lead to a loyal clientele, and support a cooperative salon
Requirements & Eligibility
- Professional hairdressing experience with demonstrable practical skills
- Maximum of 5 years' industry experience
- Strong ability in cutting, colouring and styling
- Hands-on experience with highlighting and chemical treatments
- Confident with men's and women's haircuts
- Competent in event and occasion styling
- A good understanding of hair care and product recommendations
- Strong client consultation and communication abilities
- Reliable, punctual and professionally presented, with a friendly and confident approach to customer service
- Able to work effectively within a team and show commitment to quality and attention to detail
- A flexible approach to working hours
