This Whanganui salon wants an experienced Hair Stylist whose skills, client record and work history can be clearly shown. You would cut, style and colour for new and returning clients and gradually build a loyal clientele of your own.
Teamwork matters too, so expect to share what you know with fellow stylists, join training sessions and help keep the salon welcoming and hygienic. The position is full-time and based in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut and style hair for clients
- Carry out colour treatments to suit what each client asks for
- Assess what clients need and recommend the right services
- Deliver consistent, high-quality results across a range of services and take responsibility for the quality of finished work
- Build good relationships with new and returning clients, and grow a loyal personal clientele
- Manage a well-organised, productive client schedule
- Offer a welcoming, professional customer experience
- Keep the salon hygienic, well presented and up to standard
- Work closely with other stylists and salon staff, sharing knowledge to support a positive team
- Take part in professional training and hair education
- Keep up with current techniques, products and industry trends
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on professional experience in cutting and colouring, for at least 3 years
- NZ Level 4 Hairdressing Certificate or an internationally recognised equivalent qualification
- Relevant experienced candidates may be considered if their formal qualifications differ
- Practical hairdressing skills, supported by genuine work experience, with confidence in professional cutting and colouring services
- Strong client consultation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships
- A professional attitude to customer service and workplace responsibilities, and able to work well in a team
- Willingness to undertake ongoing technical and professional development
- Genuine evidence of your qualifications and previous employment
- Applicants must meet the relevant requirements for sponsored employment in New Zealand
