Powerline crews in Sydney are recruiting across New South Wales for Distribution Linesmen, Transmission Linesmen, Transmission TAs and Crane Borer Operators. The work spans overhead distribution, transmission, pole construction, stringing, structural work and plant operation, and what counts is experience you can clearly show and have verified.
Sponsorship is available for suitable applicants, and the opportunity also supports experienced overseas candidates, so Malaysians with proven linework behind them can take a closer look.

Key Responsibilities
- Build overhead distribution lines, from raising and dressing poles to swapping out old ones
- Fit and look after overhead network equipment, pulling in mains and conductors
- Construct transmission lines, working on poles, H structures and towers
- Climb structures to string conductors and inspect transmission assets
- Follow network drawings and line diagrams on every job
- Handle supporting linework, and run crane or boring plant when authorised
- Spot hazards early, fix site problems, and stick to safety and quality procedures
- Team up with crews, move between project sites, and take occasional away-from-home assignments and extra hours when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on overhead electrical experience, including distribution or transmission linework
- Ability to show your technical skills and previous work history
- Construction White Card
- Driver’s licence
- Strong problem-solving on site
- A dependable, team-focused attitude
- Safe working habits as conditions change
- Willingness to travel for projects, including short-term away work
- Certificate III ESI in Transmission and Distribution Overhead preferred
- Work at Heights preferred
- CPR preferred
- Dogging preferred
- Rigging preferred
- High Risk Work Licence preferred
- Relevant overseas qualifications considered
- Ability to undertake further Australian-recognised training where required
