A busy Sydney venue needs a Duty Manager who can take ownership of how the floor performs. You will lead people with confidence, keep daily operations organised and make sure the venue meets its service, safety and compliance standards. Leadership experience that can be shown and checked is the starting point for this one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the daily running of the venue and its service standards
  • Supervise hospitality staff, coordinate each shift, and help with rosters, training and performance development
  • Set a professional, customer-focused tone by leading from the front
  • Watch customer satisfaction and sort out complaints well
  • Handle stock control, inventory checks and supply orders
  • Stay on top of workplace health, safety and venue requirements, and licensing obligations
  • Help plan promotions, functions and special events
  • Review sales, staff performance and customer feedback, and report operational information to management
  • Spot operational problems and act to keep service quality high

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Professional experience in hospitality supervision or management that can be demonstrated
  • Good practical grasp of venue and bar operations
  • Proven leadership with experience managing hospitality teams
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound decision-making in a fast-paced hospitality setting
  • Experience with stock management and basic financial responsibilities
  • Available for evenings, weekends and flexible hospitality shifts
  • Relevant hospitality or management qualifications are desirable
  • Current onshore status in Australia, and genuine, verifiable evidence of relevant work experience
