Diesel Fitter

Visa sponsorship

Automotive · Brisbane, QLD, Australia · Full-Time · $60/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Brisbane's construction and mobile plant fleets need a fitter who can find a fault quickly and repair it properly. This Diesel Fitter role covers heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes and piling rigs, with servicing in the workshop and breakdown calls out in the field.

Expect hydraulic and electrical fault finding, component replacement and testing after repair, with little supervision once you know the fleet. Employer sponsorship is available for eligible overseas applicants, so Malaysian heavy-plant mechanics with solid experience have a good reason to apply.

On your CV, name the machines you have serviced, the trade certificate you hold and the diagnostic tools you use. Get your Brisbane diesel fitter CV ready on Build AI CV before you send your application.

  • Deliver planned servicing and preventative maintenance programs
  • Track down mechanical faults and settle on the right repair

  • Log servicing, repairs, inspections and replaced parts
  • Sort breakdowns by urgency and handle remote or onsite call-outs on your own
  • Keep the workshop tidy and safe and follow all workplace health and safety procedures
