Sydney has a place for a Cook or Chef in a professional Italian kitchen, for someone with a good attitude, a solid work ethic and a hunger to learn. Years on a CV count for less here than reliability, practical ability and real interest in Italian cooking. You would work beside an experienced culinary team on traditional preparation, pasta and sauce techniques, a sound base for later progression in an Australian kitchen. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Italian dishes to the kitchen's standards
- Help with pasta, sauces and traditional preparation, and complete mise en place and daily prep
- Keep taste, quality and presentation consistent
- Follow recipes, cooking procedures and directions from senior chefs
- Stay efficient through busy service
- Keep your station clean, organised and hygienic, observing food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
- Support others in the kitchen when needed
- Take feedback on board and apply new techniques and procedures
- Show reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude, helping the kitchen stay respectful and productive
Requirements & Eligibility
- Shown interest in, or experience of, commercial cooking, plus a genuine passion for Italian cuisine
- Consistent and reliable at work
- Strong work ethic; ready to take responsibility
- Follows instructions and learns from experienced chefs
- Practical kitchen skills matched to your experience level; earlier hospitality or kitchen experience is advantageous
- Good teamwork and communication
- Willing to grow professionally in the Australian hospitality industry
- Candidates from entry level to experienced may be considered
- Can give genuine, verifiable employment or skills information when asked, and must meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
