Aged-care catering in Sydney is about food that is nutritious, well presented and suited to each resident's needs. This permanent full-time Chef role runs on a Sunday to Thursday roster and welcomes experience with South American cuisine.
You would cook for residents, adapt dishes to dietary and texture requirements including IDDSI, help plan menus and keep food costs and waste down while working closely with kitchen and care teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook nutritious food for residents and keep quality and presentation consistent
- Adapt dishes to individual dietary and texture requirements, following IDDSI when preparing modified food
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Work efficiently when the kitchen is busy
- Coordinate with the kitchen and care teams
- Help prepare and plan menus, with culturally appropriate options for variety
- Monitor stock and support ordering
- Control food costs and avoid unnecessary waste
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial Chef experience and relevant cooking qualifications
- Strong interest in quality food preparation
- South American cuisine experience preferred
- Knowledge of Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Argentinian or Chilean cuisine advantageous
- Experience in high-volume food production
- Understanding of dietary requirements
- Strong food safety and hygiene practices, with good communication and teamwork abilities
- Aged-care experience desirable
- IDDSI experience desirable
- Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship
