Key Responsibilities
- Cook, plate and present a range of dishes to a high standard, following menu requirements
- Keep food quality and presentation consistent
- Help the kitchen run efficiently through service
- Work with fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients
- Help bring in seasonal menu changes
- Rotate and monitor stock correctly, and cut food waste by using ingredients well
- Keep the kitchen clean and food safety standards high
- Support the training and development of kitchen staff, and work well with the wider hospitality team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum five years of relevant commercial kitchen experience
- Proven experience in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Diploma in Hospitality or relevant equivalent qualification
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to stay calm and productive during busy service periods
- Good communication skills and availability for full-time hospitality work
