A Melbourne hospitality business is hiring Indian cuisine professionals: Curry Chefs, Tandoor Chefs, South Indian Chefs and Indian Cuisine Cooks. The kitchen is busy and commercial, so dependable cooking and a real understanding of authentic Indian food matter most.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook authentic Indian dishes to commercial standards, drawing on curry, tandoor and South Indian techniques
- Keep taste, texture, quality and presentation steady
- Get ingredients and kitchen prep ready before service starts
- Handle your share of the cooking efficiently through busy service periods
- Stick to kitchen hygiene and food safety practices, recipes, preparation methods and quality standards
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to keep food service flowing, and support catering and event kitchens when required
- Keep your workspace organised, clean and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven commercial experience preparing Indian cuisine
- Demonstrable expertise in curry, tandoor or South Indian cooking, with strong practical knowledge of Indian ingredients and cooking methods
- Able to produce high-quality dishes consistently
- Experience in a busy restaurant, catering or events kitchen
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining quality
- Reliable attendance, a strong professional work ethic, and effective communication and teamwork
- Relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous
- Candidates must satisfy the applicable requirements for sponsorship
