A residential aged care home in Lismore, New South Wales, is looking for a Chef Manager to take charge of its kitchen. You would lead the kitchen team and plan meals that are nutritious, enjoyable and suited to each resident's individual needs, keeping the operation efficient and food safe.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the kitchen day to day and coordinate food preparation
- Lead and support the kitchen team while building a positive, professional culture
- Plan and serve quality meals for residents, adjusting for dietary, nutritional and personal needs
- Uphold food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures at all times
- Check food quality, presentation and consistency
- Organise kitchen rosters and the daily flow of work
- Make efficient use of food, equipment and other kitchen resources
- Spot and introduce improvements to kitchen and dining operations
- Work with care and support teams, and keep respectful relationships with residents, families and colleagues while meeting workplace and food safety standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised Chef qualification, with documents that can be verified
- Professional Chef experience you can demonstrate, together with previous kitchen supervision or management
- Experience with high-volume or large-scale catering operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements
- Able to prepare varied, nutritious meals to a high standard, with a good grasp of dietary and nutritional needs
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a reliable and organised approach to running a kitchen
- Previous aged care, healthcare, hospitality or institutional catering experience is advantageous
- Evidence of your qualifications and relevant work experience
- Ability to meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
